Within Boys & Girls Clubs’ evidenced-based practices is the Youth of the Year program, which fosters teen entrepreneurship, leadership and community engagement. The Youth of the Year award is a prestigious accolade bestowed upon outstanding teens who exemplify leadership, academic excellence and community service. These remarkable young people are the future leaders of our state, and their accomplishments are celebrated in an annual event in partnership with national corporate sponsors Toyota and Kohl’s, and Nevada-specific sponsors The Raiders and Southern Nevada Ford Dealers.

On Saturday, March 16, 2024, teens, Club leaders, corporate supporters and government officials gathered at the Raiders Headquarters to celebrate the announcement of the 2024 Nevada State Youth of the Year. Serving as Nevada Boys & Girls Clubs’ ambassadors this year are 2024 Nevada Youth of the Year Christian Felix of Boys & Girls Clubs of Elko and the 2024 Military Youth of the Year Tyler Siebecker of Naval Air Station Fallon. They are outstanding spokespeople for the impact of Clubs and dynamic young leaders.

We were delighted to welcome Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony, Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro, Assembly Speaker Pro Tempore Daniele Monroe-Moreno, Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen and U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez-Masto for the competition and announcement festivities. We look forward to celebrating the many successes of our 2024 Youth of Year winners and the other talented finalists in the years to come.
